Paint Shop Pro
using filters that came with psp
I create this type of
animation using PSP and its own plugins that come with the program.
Once I have my image
created, I select an area to edit using the lasso set to freehand via the tools
options palette.
As in these wings, I
wanted to be able to deform them outward but not inward on the body, nor did I
want the body to be part of the deformation. SO... here is what I did
after my image was complete.
1. Make duplicate layers of the image.
(Layers/Duplicate)
2.
Click the second Layer up from the bottom to activate it and hide the
other layers via Layers Palette
3. I click hold down and drag the lasso tool starting
at an outter edge of the wing down next to the bodys hair and dress then I swing
far out away from the body and wing to create an open space and I let go when I
have reached the spot where I started.
4. Hold Down Shift key and continue to capture the
other side of the wings. Figure below.
5. Now its ready to
play with. Click Effects/Geometric Effects/Ripple (play with the bars
to adjust the amount)
6. In
Layer Palette click to hide this layer and activate the next layer up.
Repeat #5 and change the settings. Continue with this until done with
remaining layers except for the bottom one which is the original.
7.
Click Layers/New Raster Layer and Fill this with your background color then send
it to bottom by clicking Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom... Now is the time
to add copyrights or whatever to the bg layer if your going to do
so.
8.
Open Layer Palette and hide all layers except the filled background
layer.
9.
Duplicate this background layer for as many times as you duplicated for the
image. Each layer will need its own background.
10. Via
Layer Palette, Click one of the copy layers below that isn't hidden and drag it
up under the first top one. Grab another and drop it under the next hidden
one, continue until all hidden layers have a background copy image dragged under
it.
11.
Via Layer Palette, Hide all layers but the top 2 which should be 1 of your image
and 1 of your background. Make sure you have activated one of the two and
its selected. Click Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Via Layer Palette
hide this merged layer and select the next two layers which should contain the
image and bg....
12. Repeat
# 11 until done
If you have extra
backgrounds, you can simply delete those extras or choose to unhide them and
unhide the bottom image and merge them. We don't want any layers without
the image and a bg merged together.
13. Unhide All layers and Save this file as a PSP
file format. File/Save As/drop down menu and choose paint shop pro format
psp and save it to your desktop.
14. Open
Animation Shop and Click File/Open and get your psp file you saved. Click
to view the animation. If you like it. Save it.
