Rulers... Quite helpful, set to pixels... with this you always know the actual pixels even when zoomed in.

Grid, very helpful in aligning items. I also use this when doing a multi tube. Size it via the Change Grid and Guide Properties. If my main largest item for my multi tube is say 37x32 Then I set the width and height 37x37. Now all my images will fit into the grid each its own little square area. When done, crop right on the grid lines as in saving one picture. Count the number of items across and the items down and thats what you will place into the cells when saving this as a mega tube. For a more complex tutorial view Mega Tubes tut. See Grid Tut.

Guides are designed to give you a line for aligning as well. But I do tend to use the grid mostly.

ToolBars

I suppose these checked are my most important toolbars. I must have these at all times. I have customized mine. To see how to do that view the Customize Toolbars tut.
