Undo to remove your actions

Redo to go forward adding the actions back on

Repeat= this changes to your current action. Select All, Select None, Float etc.

If your working on several images that you want to apply the same thing to, then click that image or layer and click Repeat.

Comman History lists all your actions on each canvas. If you went hog wild on one image and decide you don't like it and want to go back to the point before you added the new layer, or painted it blue... then allows you to go back faster. Click the top command, hold down the shift key and click the last command that you want to undo to. It is much faster than the undo button, which undoes one at a time.

Cut removes the selection and copies it to the clipboard.

Copy simply copies the selection to the clipboard.

Paste/As New Image pastes the data on the clipboard onto a new canvas the size of the copied data.

Paste/As New Lyer pastes the data on the clipboard on the same canvas but on a new layer.

Paste/As New Selection pastes the data onto the canvas on the same layer but activated as a selection.

Paste/As Transperent Selection pastes the data from the clipboard onto the canvas and it is in a floating state.

Paste/Into Selection pastes the data into the selected area. This is good when you are using multiple layers and you want to add something from another layer but keep it in the exact same spot on the canvas. If you copy paste it would be difficult to get things in the exact spot... this simplifies that task. Simply select the item you want and click it to set the dancing ants on it..... then copy it... click the layer you want to add it to then simply Paste/Into Selection.

Clear removes the selected data from the canvas.

Empty the data on the clipboard or the command history. If you empty the comman history you will not be able to undo or redo to your current point. If you empty the data from the clipboard you will not be able to paste until something has been copied.
