Animated
Cursors
Lets start out with
something easy.
- Click
File
- Choose New
Project
- Click the Cursor tab at
the top
- Change the frames to
3
- Click Animated
Cursor
- Click the Text Icon at
the top and get yourself an image or Letter (just like you did for the
creating icons and for the cursor, remembering you will have a pointing area,
so nab something fitting to be used as a cursor)
- Prepare this image just
as have before, changing its colors, however you want it. Get it ready
to save like you were going to create a regular icon or
cursor.
- Now its ready to animated
Click Edit Copy
- See your frames just
above your image? Click the second frame to activate it.
- Click Edit Choose
Paste
- Now you can change
colors, add to it, use dots of white to sparkle it, use your imagination but
remember, a little bit goes along ways.
- Consider this, if you
added something to it and plan for it to grow, you will need to copy this
current frame to paste into the next empty frame box when you activate
it. If you are simply changing colors or dotting with dabs of color then
pasting the one thats already copied to the windows clipboard is
fine.
- When done with frame two,
Click the empty frame three above to activate it and click Edit
/Paste.
- Need to go back to one of
the other frames to change something? Click that frame at the top to
activate it to make your changes.
- Click Icon and Choose
Preview Animation Make any changes to your frames now that you want to
change.
- Don't forget to set the
hot spot.
- When done Click the .ani
icon in your menu above to save it as an animated cursor.
- To use follow the same
steps you did for the regular cursor.

For kicks if you want to
see some awesome ones and have XP Open the horse animted cursor from the windows
cursor folder.
